I speak a lot about the security concerns regarding the “Internet of Everything” meaning how pretty much everything is moving towards having IP capabilities. I really like this comic regarding hacking IoE.
One area of focus that has been a highlight at major security conferences such as Blackhat and DEF CON is CAR hacking. DEF CON had a dedicated village to car hacking this past year as shown in the next few images.
Charlie Miller & Chris Valasek provided a few talks on this topic over the last few years that really got it in the spot light. Here is an example of one of those talks.
